Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Grubbs Bowling

Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Grubbs Bowling is an Assistant Professor and Extension Turfgrass Specialist at the University of Tennessee, where she works closely with golf course superintendents, sports field managers, and municipal land managers across the state of Tennessee and beyond. Her Extension program emphasizes applied research, resource-use efficiency, and outreach education to optimize turfgrass systems and ensure long-term environmental and economic sustainability.

Her current focus areas include irrigation system infrastructure, water budgeting, wetting agent performance, turfgrass variety evaluation, and strategies for building resilient turfgrass systems in the transition zone. Dr. Bowling regularly collaborates with industry partners, Extension agents, and researchers nationwide, and she is passionate about creating accessible educational resources that support turfgrass managers at all levels.
